The MNStarz are the only year around club team in Minnesota, and has been declared by Perfect Game and the World Scout League as one of the top 200 club programs in the country. Our players have received scholarships to play baseball at colleges all over the country, such as U of Oregon, U of Arizona, Georgia Tech, Dallas Baptist, Vanderbilt, UConn, U of Iowa, Miami of Ohio, Kansas State, U of Minnesota, and U of San Diego to name just a few. The reason why is the relationship we have built with college coaches all over the country, the national schedule we play, and most importantly the quality of players we have in the organization. We have also had over 30 of our players drafted in the major league draft, with 8 of our alumni drafted in the 2011 Major League Draft.

10U – 13U: 10:00 am – 11:30 am | 14U – 15U: 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm | 16 + 18U: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
The MNStarz represent the leading edge of competitive baseball in Minnesota. The Starz are a traveling club program that provide the area’s top high school players with the opportunity to play against some of the country’s best prospects. In addition, the program has been remarkably successful in helping players make it into the college ranks and beyond.
The MNStarz program is focused on developing young men to compete at the highest level of baseball, but in a way that is fun, honorable and respectful. We work hard, practice a lot, and have high expectations, both on and off the field
Trent Seaman, MNStarz President, started the program nine years ago. Starz teams range from 10U through 18U. The focus at the younger ages – Rising Starz(10U-14U) – is on developing the full complement of baseball skills necessary to take their game to the next level and compete nationally against kids their age. The Starz teams(15U-18U) travel out of state to tournaments that bring together the premier club teams from across the country. The 15U and 16U will also play locally in a fall league in Minnesota.
A particular emphasis of the Starz program is to provide its players with exposure to college recruiters. Virtually every player from the past several Elite 17U teams has received an offer to play college baseball. Current college players Lucas Long (Arizona), Ryan Bull (Notre Dame), Connor McClain (Indiana State), Rob Youngdahl (Kansas State) Jarred Dettman (UConn), Joe Loftus (Vanderbilt), Jake Esch (Georgia Tech) Matt Leuty (Nebraska) and Beau Fandell (Nebraska) are Starz alumni.
A handful of Starz have shot all the way to professional baseball. Last summer’s 17U team was anchored by Mitch Brown who was just picked by the Cleveland Indians in the second round of the MLB draft. Brad Hand is playing with the Miami Marlins and eight former Starz were drafted last year. We have limited the size of our program to ensure that every MNStarz coach knows every player in the program. We are a true program. We don’t just slap jerseys on a player and call them a “MNStarz.”
The MNStarz Elite Red Program (10U through 18U) is designed for the most talented and dedicated baseball players in the Midwest. The program is designed with intense instruction, national competition, and exposure to college and professional scouts. The goal is to have the best 12 players 10U through 14U, and the best 15 players, 15U through 18U players in the midwest on these MNStarz Red teams. If there are 24 or 30 kids who can play on a high level, the best 12 or 15 will go on the red team, and the next twelve or 15 will go on the black team. They will not be split up evenly.
The Fall program will run from August through November. You will receive a minimum of 20 hours of practice per month for which you have 4 locations to choose from. The Vadnais Heights Dome, West St Paul Dome, Savage Dome, or the Batting Cages of Minnesota.
The 10U through 14U will play two tournaments in August. One in Minneapolis and one in Des Moines. You will play a double header every Sunday in a Minnesota Fall League in September and October, and go to Arizona for a tournament in November.
The 15U will play two tournaments in August, double headers in Minnesota in September and October, and go to Arizona for a tournament in November.
